Honeybees have been recognized as one of the most sacred creatures by man since ancient times. They are also considered one of the great nurturers of life and fertility. They are the main source in the world, but many do not seem to recognize that. Roughly forty percent of our food is pollinated by bees making us count on bees for food. Also, the livestock that are dependent upon bee-pollination such as forage plants. They are a great nutrients of life and fertility. But now they seem to work harder than ever, the struggle to survive. Many people are taking bees for granted, and not appreciating their work by killing them. No human or recent activity can take over the bees job. Many people might not change their idea on how to treat the bees until it is too late.
Colony Collapse Disorder, a term used for the disappearance of honeybees. Imagine waking up and eating bread and oatmeal all day, every day. No honey, no fruits, no vegetables, nothing. Yuck. Why, you may asked? Because society has decide to pour pesticide making bees to die. Picture the world without bees, without them insects die therefore plants die, causing animals to die. Without plants or animals we will starve and therefore die at a faster rate.
See what a little species can do? See what your actions can do? So why wait until the bees are officially called extinct? People can help with this problem by backyard bee keeping. It takes about the same time and effort as a normal garden but some bonuses would be keeping your thrive, helping out bees population and of course honey! So wouldn't it be nice to return the favor to the bees? They've cared about us each and every day, time to give back what we give.
