How Does Your Garden Grow

For the past few months my classmates and I have been working on a plant experiment  We wanted to see how the plants would grow in a different type of environment  for ours we used different saran wrap it turned out to grow faster with blue saran wrap than with yellow or clear saran wrap. The way the plants was with the process of mitosis, photosynthesis, respiration, and adding biomass. Biomass was added because it is what makes up living organism. It is the compounds such as proteins, fats, etc. Plants produce biomass when they grow and in order for them to grow they need hydrogen, phosphorous, water and carbon dioxide. Photosynthesis uses the energy of sunlight to convert water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and high energy sugars. Plants then use sugar to produce complex carbohydrates. Plants obtain carbon dioxide from the water or air in which they grow. Photosynthesis takes place inside the chloroplast. Photosynthesis is able to capture the energy of the sun. During respiration energy is released from glucose, sugar is able to be broken down into carbon dioxide and water in a process which uses oxygen. Unlike photosynthesis respiration releases energy using up food, oxygen and producing oxygen.

Enzymes are made in the plant of the nucleus signalizing to release the needed gene for transcription. DNA is subscribed into mRNA. The mRNA goes into cytoplasm and goes into the ribosomes, then translate nucleotides into amino acids. Amino acids form a wanted codon pattern.Polypeptide chain will be unfold and the enzyme is ready to work!
